Prof. Abbasova Afat Musa<\/span><\/h4>\n

She was born in Ganja city of the Republic of Azerbaijan on August 13, 1963.<\/p>\n

She graduated from the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages with honors (present Azerbaijan University of Languages) in 1985. She was the postgraduate of the Azerbaijan University of Languages in 1990-1993. She was appointed a senior lector of the Department of \u201cCountry Studies\u201d as she defended her thesis earlier in 1992. In 2004, she defended her doctoral dissertation and received the title of a Doctor of Philological Sciences. \u00a0She received the title of Doctor of Philological Sciences in 2010 by the HAC.<\/p>\n

She worked an Assistant Professor at the department of Country Studies at the Azerbaijan University of Languages in 1993-2005.<\/p>\n

She has led the department of \u201cForeign Languages -2\u201d of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics since 2001. Currently, she is a Head of the Department of Foreign Languages.<\/p>\n

She was awarded a badge of the Leading Employee of Education.<\/p>\n

She has been the member of the Azerbaijani English Teachers\u2019 Association from 1999, Azerbaijani Women\u2019s Club from 2002, American Name Society from 2003, and ESREA organization from 2009. She was the member of International TOEFL Association in 2003-2005, the International Congress of Onomastic Sciences in 2005-2007 and CIS member since 2016.<\/p>\n

A.Abbasova attended the international conferences held in the US, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Turkey, Thailand, Israel, the Republic of Northern Cyprus, Serbia and other countries made speeches in them.<\/p>\n

By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 24, 2020, he was awarded\u00a0 “Taraggi” medal on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of\u00a0\u00a0Azerbaijan State University of Economics and for his services to the development of education in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

She is the author of more than 60 scientific articles, 4 books and textbooks.<\/p>\n
