Head of the Department of “MATHEMATICS”, Prof.\u00a0Garayev Mustafa Islam\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

He was born in Minkand village, Lachin region on October 20, 1936. He studied at the village secondary school from 1945 till 1955. He was admitted to the faculty of \u201cMechanics and mathematics\u201d of Azerbaijan State University named after S.M.Kirov in 1956. He completed \u201cMathematics\u201d specialty of the same faculty in 1961. He worked in the position of research scholar in\u00a0Azerbaijan Scientific Research Institute of\u00a0Energy and Power Design of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) from 1961-1966.<\/p>\n

He worked in the position of teacher in \u201cMathematics\u201d department of Azerbaijan\u00a0National Economy\u00a0Institute named after\u00a0D.Bunyadzade in 1966. He defended dissertation in 1975 and was awarded scientific degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences. He was elected as Associate Professor in 1982. In 2005 he was elected Professor of the University according to his scientific \u2013 teaching activity under the decision of the scientific council of ASUE.\u00a0He led the Department of “Mathematics” of the University of Economics within 2009- 2016.<\/p>\n

He is an author of nearly 50 scientific articles, methodical instruction and teaching program. He was awarded honorary title of \u201cHonored Teacher\u201d by the Decree of the President of the Republic in 2005. He was awarded the order of \u201cLeading education employee\u201d by the order of the Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Republic in 2006. In 2010 he was awarded \u201cGold Anniversary medal of the University\u201d with respect to 80 years anniversary of ASUE.
\nHe is married, has four children<\/p>\n
