The last Scientific Council meeting of 2023 was held at UNEC.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before the speeches, the Rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov,
\nintroduced Associate Professor Fariz Ahmadov, newly appointed to the position
\nof Vice-Rector for Science, to the members of the Scientific Council.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Then, the director of the Examination Center, associate professor
\nSohrab Isayev, gave a report on the results of the intermediate evaluation
\nexams of the fall semester of the 2023\/2024 academic year and preparation for
\nthe winter exam session. It was reported that 456 of the intermediate exams
\nwere written and 302 were test exams. It was evaluated as a positive case that
\nthe cases of violations of the rules in the exams decreased by approximately
\nthree times.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Associate Professor Geray Musayev, vice-rector for education, said
\nthat the list of subjects to be organized in a hybrid form has been increased,
\nand 32 new subjects have been added to the list. In total, he pointed out that
\nlessons on 74 subjects will be conducted in a hybrid form.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Scientific Council continued with the discussion of current
\nissues.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

By the decision of the council, students whose IELTS certificate in
\nforeign language is higher than 7 points will be exempted from “Foreign
\nlanguage – 4″ subject as well as 1, 2, 3 in “Foreign language”
\nsubject.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At the meeting, it was decided that full-time and part-time students
\nwho have exceeded the limit of 1 or 2 absences will be allowed to take the
\nexam. The decision will apply to the students of Zagatala branch as well as
\ncolleges operating under UNEC.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the council, elections were held to fill vacant
\nprofessorships at the “Economic and Technological Sciences”
\ndepartment. According to the voting results, prof. Arif Shekaraliyev, Prof.
\nMahish Ahmadov, Prof. Kamil Shahbazov, Prof. Rasim Hasanov, Prof. Gabil
\nManafov, Prof. Umidvar Babayev and Prof. Alijan Babayev were elected as
