The next session of the Academic Council of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) was held. The event began with Professor Telman Huseynov\u2019s congratulation who was awarded the title of \u201cHonored Scientist\u201d by the President Ilham Aliyev. Wishing success to the venerable teacher UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov said that Telman Huseynov is beloved teacher of the entire personnel; he added the society, as well as the university need the kind of persons. A. Muradov addressed deep gratitude to the President Ilham Aliyev for the confidence to the employees of UNEC. Rector also expressed gratitude to the Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov welcomed the University\u2019s proposal on behalf of UNEC staff. Thanking to everyone who contributed to the issue the honored scientist, Professor Telman Huseynov said he will do his best for the development of Azerbaijan\u2019s science and development of highly skilled staff furthermore.<\/p>\n
The event was followed with the presentation of other awards. The Associate Professor of the Department \u201cExamination of Consumer Products\u201d Ahmad- Jabir Ahmadov and the Associate Professor of the Department \u201cRegulation of Economy\u201d Mustafa Sadigov were presented the badge of \u201cThe Advanced Employee of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan\u201d by the Ministry of Education.<\/p>\n
Head of the International School of Economics Anar Rzayev, Head of SABAH Center Aida Guliyeva, Deputy Dean of the School of International Economic Relations Elchin Eyvazov and the Director of the Center for Distance, Part- time and Supplementary Education\u201d Geray Musayev was awarded \u201cCertificate of Honor\u201d by the Ministry of Education.<\/p>\n
Head of the Department \u201cBusiness Administration\u201d Mahammad Aliyev was presented the Honorary Decree by the Independent Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Employees in connection with his 60th<\/sup> Anniversary.<\/p>\n The session was in progress with the discussion of everyday problems. Advisor to the Rector on Innovation and Strategic Affairs Mahammad Jamilov made a speech on \u201cThe Results of the Projects realized at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC)\u201d. He delivered the information about the innovative projects in the areas of teaching and training technologies, e- management, science and science- innovation, recruitment and career development implemented at UNEC. He said the innovation projects at the university are realized on the basis of the comprehensive and systematic approach and the essential strategic goal is to convert UNEC to the contemporary, innovative and competitive university.<\/p>\n Rector said the first innovative university model is being built at UNEC and the status of innovative university will soon be achieved.<\/p>\n Head of the Internal Audit Department Hikmat Babayev made a report about \u201cThe Compliance of the Employees of Azerbaijan State University of Economics with the disciplinary rules\u201d. He delivered the information about affairs to be done against the replacement or substitution of the classes.<\/p>\n Rector Adalat Muradov stressed that special guidelines are to be applied at the university in connection with the inadequate replacement and substitution of classes and improvement of the attendance of teaching and student staffs.<\/p>\n Reports on both issues were positively assessed by the members of the council.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n After the reports Rector informed the participants about the obtaining a license for the Darbant branch of UNEC. Muradov said the main reason for this innovation obtained is the result of successful policy conducted by the President Ilham Aliyev by which Azerbaijan has own position in the region and its recognized worldwide. Addressing his gratitude to the President Ilham Aliyev on behalf of UNEC, Rector thanked the Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov and the employees of the Ministry for the special attention in obtaining a license.<\/p>\n Rector also spoke of the tradition of holding graduate fairs and emphasized the implementation of the kind of fairs to be made online in future. He said this will play important role in creating communication between the recruiters and those who want to be recruited.<\/p>\n Rector also spoke about the new admission rules to Doctoral Studies. He said the entrance exam on English for PhD Program will be implemented by the British Council. But in accordance with the other novelty those who have the international certificates of IELTS or TOEFL are free from the English exam. The rule will be applied to the doctoral exam taken by PhD researchers for Doctoral Program. The university administration noted that the aim in implementing the innovation is ensuring the objectivity of scientific knowledge and to increase the level of English required. Rector also informed that the admission to the PhD and Doctoral Programs will absolutely be digitalized next year.<\/p>\n Rector\u2019s proposal of abolishing the department of AEC of the University and distribution of its academic load among the relevant departments was approved by the members of the council.<\/p>\n Drawing the attention to the inauguration ceremony of the teaching staff, Rector added that all teachers hired will take an oath and this will be recorded in their personal portfolio.<\/p>\n Finally, in accordance with the UNEC\u2019s 85th<\/sup> Anniversary Actions Program the venerable teaching staff members awarded the title of \u201cHonorary Professors\u201d- Associate P[rofessor Fazil Huseynov, Mahmud Ahmadov and Hajibala Hajibalayev were congratulated by the participants.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The next session of the Academic Council of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) was held.
