The Faculty of Economics and Management at UNEC<\/a><\/span> organized the First International Conference of Researchers in Economics and Social Sciences on the theme \u201cContemporary Trends: Green Economy and Sustainable Development.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

The conference commenced with an opening address by the Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Elchin Eyvazov, who welcomed the participants and provided comprehensive information regarding the event. He emphasized that over 200 papers were submitted across nine sections, including 33 contributions from foreign authors and 203 from local researchers. Associate Professor Eyvazov further noted that authors from the United States, Europe, Africa, and other regions submitted papers, and, as per the decision of the Scientific Committee, a two-part \u201cConference Proceedings\u201d collection has been published. Additionally, one of the presented papers has been accepted for publication in a Scopus Q2-indexed journal.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, UNEC\u2019s Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Professor Rovnag Rzayev, praised the significance of the researchers\u2019 contributions to the conference. He commended the proactive efforts of the faculties in initiating and organizing international conferences at UNEC in recent years.<\/p>\n

Associate Professor Farhad Taghizade from Tokai University addressed the participants, highlighting the importance and relevance of green economy issues in the modern era.<\/p>\n

The conference proceeded with plenary discussions featuring distinguished speakers.<\/p>\n

Professor Dr. Atilla G\u00f6k\u00e7e from Hac\u0131 Bayram Veli University discussed the Environmental Kuznets Curve Theory, noting that both Azerbaijan and Turkey, in the initial stages of economic development, experience an increase in pollution but subsequently demonstrate a transition toward reduction through diversification and renewable energy initiatives.<\/p>\n

Professor Xihui Chen from Keele University delivered a presentation on media ESG reputation, emphasizing its role in encouraging corporate energy innovations in China and directing companies toward more sustainable and environmentally responsible operations.<\/p>\n

Professor Florian Nuta from Dunarea de Jos Galati University underscored the imperative of transitioning to sustainable, accessible, and clean energy sources to ensure energy security, alleviate poverty, and promote human development.<\/p>\n

Professor Mustafa Yasan from Balikesir University elaborated on the rights of specific groups to representation on the boards of anonymous companies, emphasizing the importance of fostering diversity and inclusivity in achieving sustainable development goals.<\/p>\n

Dr. Regina Veckalne, representing Riga Technical University, provided a detailed analysis of the central role women in Central Asia play in advancing sustainable development, particularly in driving progress across economic, social, and environmental domains.<\/p>\n

Dr. Wafa Misrar delivered a presentation on the ecological reuse of wastewater through ceramic membrane purification systems, emphasizing its role in ensuring environmentally sustainable water management practices.<\/p>\n
