A joint initiative of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC<\/a><\/span>) and Tyumen State University of Russia, the 1st International Scientific-Practical Conference titled \u201cEntrepreneurship Education: New Opportunities for Economic Growth\u201d, dedicated to UNEC\u2019s 95th anniversary, has officially commenced.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\r\n

The conference brings together leaders of prominent universities from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and other countries, members of parliament, as well as representatives of local institutions engaged in entrepreneurship.<\/p>\r\n

Moderated by Professor Eduard Omarov, Director of the International School of Entrepreneurship at Tyumen State University, the conference focuses on the positive impacts of entrepreneurship education on national economic development and explores its potential as a powerful resource for growth.<\/p>\r\n

During the event, the following speakers addressed the audience and shared insights on the topic: Associate Professor Ivan Romanchuk, Rector of Tyumen State University; Emil Huseynli, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Samir Hamidov, Head of the Department for Higher and Secondary Specialized Education Institutions at the State Agency for Science and Higher Education; Aleksandr Vedekhin, Deputy Director of the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation; Vugar Zeynalov, Vice President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Professor Andrea Keszi-Szeremlei, Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and Head of the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Duna\u00fajv\u00e1ros, Hungary; and Associate Professor Elvira Omurchieva, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, International Relations and Commercialization at Kunayev University, Kazakhstan. Speakers exchanged ideas and made proposals on topics such as the entrepreneurial profession, entrepreneurship ecosystems, the impact of entrepreneurship education on economic growth, and competitive development strategies for entrepreneurs.<\/p>\r\n

Associate Professor Saadat Gandilova, UNEC\u2019s Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, delivered the opening speech, highlighting UNEC\u2019s ongoing cooperation with Russian higher education institutions. She emphasized that UNEC actively collaborates with many of Russia\u2019s leading universities and implements joint dual-degree programs. She also underlined that UNEC is the only Azerbaijani university with a branch in Russia.<\/p>\r\n

The conference continued with panel discussions, focusing on the following topics: \u201cThe Entrepreneurial Profession: Its Legitimation and Development Prospects\u201d, \u201cThe Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Higher Education\u201d, and \u201cEntrepreneurship Education and the Science of Entrepreneurship.\u201d<\/p>\r\n
