The scientific conference on \u201cMulticultural Values and their Socio-economic Aspects in Azerbaijan\u201d has been held at the School of Commerce of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). The overseas students, children of the ethnic minorities and the schoolchildren of the technical and humanitarian lyceum 147 of Khatai district have taken part in the conference organized by the Student Scientific Society (SSS).<\/p>\n
Reminding about the latest accidents happened on the front line, the participants have commemorated the martyrs\u2019 souls with a minute\u2019s silence.<\/p>\n
The School Dean Miragha Ahmadov said that the youths\u2019 interest to the issue has increased after the Decree on announcing 2016 the \u201cYear of Multiculturalism\u201d signed by the President Ilham Aliyev. The Dean who noted to the implementation of a series of events related to multiculturalism, academic staff of UNEC and the employees of Baku International Center for Multiculturalism have jointly analyzed the socio-economic directions of Multiculturalism in Azerbaijan and made valuable proposals on.<\/p>\n
Students and pupils have treated the issue from the aspects of different value making speeches on \u201cReligious Friendship in Multiculturalism\u201d, \u201cMulticulturalism and the Social Policy of Azerbaijan Government\u201d, \u201cHistory of Azerbaijan Multiculturalism\u201d, \u201cSocial Equity in Multiculturalism \u201c, \u201cEconomic Policy of Multiculturalism in Azerbaijan\u201d, \u201cAzerbaijan Multiculturalism and the Religious Tolerance\u201d, \u201cMulticulturalism and Education Policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan\u201d, \u201cScientific Approach to Multiculturalism\u201d, \u201cSocial, Ethic and Cultural Aspects of Multiculturalism \u201c, \u201cMulticulturalism and Ethnic Groups\u201d. Analyzing the socio- economic aspects of living standards of all ethnic minorities regardless to their religion, race, nationality, it was decided that Azerbaijan is a tolerant country and every citizens have equal rights in accordance with the principles of social justice.<\/p>\n
