Scientific-research Institute of Economic Studies<\/a><\/span>\u00a0Reshad Huseynov made a presentation about the Nobel Prize Laureate (2008) Paul Krugman. He said that P.Krugman was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his contributions to New Trade Theory and New Economic Geography. Krugman’s work explains the patterns of\u00a0international trade\u00a0and the geographic distribution of economic activity, by examining the effects of\u00a0economies of scale\u00a0and of consumer preferences for diverse goods.<\/p>\nSharing his view on Paul Krugman\u2019s theories, Head of the Department of Economy and Administration of Labor Tofig Guliyev noted the necessity of critical approach to some aspects of theory.<\/p>\n
