X Republic-wide Olympiad devoted to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev\u2019s memory on \u201cTaxes\u201d is being held among 300 undergraduate and graduate students from 15 higher schools of the country at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on December 16.<\/p>\n
Before the event the participants have laid flowers at the Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev\u2019s bust erected in the hall of UNEC paying tribute to Great Leader who had invaluable contributions to Azerbaijani people and state.<\/p>\n
Opening the event, UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0greeted the participants and emphasized that a lot of undergraduate and graduate students join the Olympiad from Baku and other cities of our country every year. Rector stressed the Olympiad dedicated to the Great Leader\u2019s memory to play an important role in improving students\u2019 knowledge in taxes.<\/p>\n Making a speech within the event, Deputy Minister of Taxes Sahib Alakbarov noted the Olympiad jointly held by the Ministry of Taxes at UNEC became a tradition. Deputy Minister spoke about the President Ilham Aliyev\u2019s special attention rendered to the development of human resources, noting improvement of the capacity of government employees\u2019 capacity as a key issue of the state programs, national strategies and action plans and withdrawal of the development of human capital as one of the pillars of the transition to \u201cknowledge economy\u201d from traditional economy in the Development Conception \u201cAzerbaijan 2020: Vision to the Future\u201d.<\/p>\n Highlighting the Ministry of Taxes to give special importance to the development of ties with higher education institutions in the direction of awareness- raising and outreach, S.Alakbarov noted the Olympiad held with UNEC for already 10 years greatly contributed to raise awareness among students in the field of taxation. He said special attention is assigned in involving young people to tax authorities who possess in- depth tax knowledge and dozens of young people taken active part in the previous Olympiads are currently employed with the tax authorities.<\/p>\n Stressing the Memorandum about the training and testing exchange signed between UNEC and Training Center, Chief of the Ministry of Taxes Training Center<\/a><\/span>\u00a0Ali Hasanov spoke about the progress of cooperation between the two bodies. He provided the participants about the progress and rules of the Olympiad.<\/p>\n Greeting the participants, Head of UNEC Department \u201cFinance and Financial Institutions<\/a><\/span>\u201d Avaz Alakbarov<\/span> <\/a>expressed them success and emphasized the Olympiad to be fruitful in the formation of the students\u2019 and graduates\u2019 knowledge in taxes.<\/p>\n The participants had to respond the questions on the basis of the relevant exam developed by the Training Center of the Ministry of Taxes within 2 hours online. Each student was introduced an individual testing base. The results were assessed with the attendance of the jury consisting of the representatives of the participant higher education institutions under the control of the experts of Training Center by means of the special computer software.<\/p>\n Announcing the results of the Olympiad, Head of the Training Center of the Ministry of Taxes Ali Hasanov and UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov expressed their gratitude to all the participants and congratulated them.<\/p>\n Winners among the undergraduate students are:<\/em><\/p>\n I place<\/strong> (2 students of the same score):<\/p>\n Salmanova Mehri (UNEC) III place<\/strong><\/p>\n Jafarov Zaynalabdin (Nakhchivan State University)<\/p>\n Winners among the graduate students:<\/em><\/p>\n I place<\/strong> Allahverdiyeva Mehri (UNEC)<\/p>\n II place<\/strong> Ahmadov Vusal (UNEC)<\/p>\n III place<\/strong> (Nakhchivan State University)<\/p>\n Teachers of the students and graduates occupied I places were also awarded.
