UNEC hosts a conference held in the format of \u201cECOSOC\u201d Board of the United Nations Organization Model once again. The main topics discussed within the Conference were UNICEF: \u201cPromotion of Education to Prevent Young People from joining Terrorist Organizations\u201d and World Health Organization: \u201cInternational Cooperation in the Fight against Diseases caused by Illegal Drug Trafficking\u201d.<\/p>\n
The conference jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and UNEC Club \u201cUNEC Model UN\u201d was attended by more than 100 local and overseas students of all higher education institutions of the country.<\/p>\n
According to the format students conducted research on the topics given to them in advance during the simulation conference. 100 \u201crepresentatives\u201d prepared actions plan on the economic status, health, problems of the field of the countries they represent and expressed their opinion on the problems. However other students shared their positions on the role of education in fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n
Participants of the two-day tense conference were awarded certificates. The US representative of UNICEF Committee Turkan Mukhtarova and Leyla Magsud of WHO Committee were awarded in the nomination \u201cBest Representative\u201d. UNEC student Maryam Badabayli and the ADA University student Irlan Shokulov were distinguished as the \u201cBest Debaters\u201d of the conference.<\/p>\n
