The academic staff and the students of the Faculty Finance and Accounting<\/a><\/span>\u00a0of UNEC have attended the event dedicated to the anniversary of \u201cKhojali Tragedy\u201d.<\/p>\n

A video prepared by the students about the massacre was demonstrated after a minute\u2019s silence to the memory of the people perished within the tragedy.<\/p>\n

The School Dean, Geray Musayev<\/a><\/span>\u00a0said the Khojali genocide is the bloodiest page of the policy of ethnic cleansing and genocide conducted by the Armenian nationalists against our people. He highlighted that the President Ilham Aliyev has been performing purposefully and consistently to deliver the truth about the Khojali tragedy to the world community and for its recognition by. In addition, the international campaign \u201cJustice to Khojali\u201d performed by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva successfully implements projects in this area. The ceremonies of commemoration of Khojali victims are being held in many countries of the world.<\/p>\n

A Professor of the Department of \u201cHumanitarian Disciplines<\/a><\/span>\u201d Mahabbat Pashayeva, the Head of the Department \u201cTheoretical and Practical Economics<\/a><\/span>\u201d, a Professor Umudvar Aliyev<\/a><\/span>, an\u00a0 Associated Professor of the Department of \u201cFinance and Financial Institutions<\/a><\/span>\u201d Zohrab Pashayev and a senior teacher of the Department of \u201cForeign Languages<\/a><\/span>\u201d Durdana Vakilova spoke about the purposes of the Khojali events and the results committed by.<\/p>\n

A \u201cConversation Club\u201d held by the Russian School of Economics<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(RSE) was also devoted to \u201cKhojali tragedy\u201d. The leader of the club has appealed to students on \u201cThe role of youth in the international campaign \u201cJustice to Khojali\u201d and promotion of the truth\u201d. Students shared their opinions within the debates held in English.<\/p>\n

Director of the RSE, Associated Professor Mansur Barkhudarov<\/a>\u00a0recommended the students to be active in delivering the realities about Khojali genocide and Daghlig Garabagh conflict to the world community. He said that the main task set before the youth is to develop and do their best to protect our country\u2019s interests.<\/p>\n

Then the participants of the \u201cConversation Club\u201d followed the documentary film about Khojali genocide prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.<\/p>\n

The victims of Khojali massacre were commemorated in the Financial and Economic Colleg<\/span>e<\/a>\u00a0of UNEC. Director of the College Hamza Ziyadov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0said that the Armenians carried out Khojali genocide in a planned manner. The innocent people were killed because of their nationality; were subjected to unprecedented torture. No one was shown mercy. He urged the young people to be particularly active for delivering the Khojali massacre and acts of vandalism committed by Armenia in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan to the international community and for the punishment of the perpetrators of the genocide.<\/p>\n

Students of the college showed the artistic composition on \u201cKhojali\u2019s cry\u201d. A documentary film \u201cMy soul is from Garabagh\u201d directed by the Head of UNEC\u2019s Creativity Center<\/a><\/span>\u00a0Elman Jafarov was demonstrated in the end.<\/p>\n

A competition of poetry dedicated to \u201cKhojali Week\u201d was held among the members of the Creativity Center of UNEC.<\/p>\n

Besides the well-known Azerbaijani poets\u2019 poetry, students sounded their own poems.<\/p>\n

The winners were defined by the jury represented by the People\u2019s Actor Nureddin Mehdikhanli, an editor of Prose and Poetry Department of the journal \u201cUlduz\u201d (Star) Vusal Nuru, an actor of Young Spectators\u2019 Theatre Vahid Orujoghlu and an art director of UNEC Creativity Center Efsane Mammadova.<\/p>\n

The first-year undergraduate of the International School of Economics Ilham Guliyev became the winner of the competition with Khalil Rza Uluturk\u2019s poem \u201cCreate a School of Hate\u201d. The fourth-year undergraduate of SABAH Groups Gunay Garayeva got II place with Bakhtiyar Vahabzade\u2019s \u201cDid my Mother die?\u201d and the first-year undergraduate of the School of Finance and Accounting Tarana Guliyeva with Zalimkhan Yagub\u2019s poem \u201cKhojali, Khojali\u201d became III of the contest.<\/p>\n
