First lessons of the February 24 were devoted to Khojali genocide in accordance with the actions paln \u201cAbout the organization of the events on the occasion of the 25th<\/sup> anniversary of Khojali massacre in the education institutions\u201d signed by the Minister of Education in all academic buildings of UNEC, Zagatala branch<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and Financial and Economic College<\/a><\/span>. After the tragedy victims\u2019 memories were marked with a minute\u2019s silence, the academic staff noted that the Khojali genocide was not only the crime committed to Azerbaijani people, but also against the humanity. Students were addressed not to forget the tragedy and recommended to take active part in the campaigns and social networking for delivering the information about the massacre and the Daghlig Garabagh conflict and Azerbaijan truth to the broad community.<\/p>\n

An enlightening event on \u201cKhojali Genocide-our bloody memory\u201d was arranged in the Faculty of Commodity Research<\/a><\/span>. The School Dean, Associate Professor Tofig Osmanov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and the Professor of the Department of \u201cHumanities<\/a><\/span>\u201d Hidayat Jafarov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0delivered the information based on historical facts about Khojali truth to the students and spoke about the consequences of the disaster. The participants viewed the photo stand reflecting Khojali tragedy after the report. Students sounded poetry about the massacre. The film \u201cKhoja\u201d was demonstrated in the end.<\/p>\n

Instructors of the Department of \u201cRussian Language<\/a><\/span>\u201d conducted the academic conference on \u201cKhojali- tragedy of the Century\u201d in the Faculty of \u201cTechnology and Design<\/a><\/span>\u201d. A senior teacher of the Department Zeynab Huseynova spoke about the vandalism committed by Armenians in Khojali. Afterwards, a film about the genocide was demonstrated.<\/p>\n

A video conferencing between UNEC and the Mykolos Romeris University of Lithuania was organized to deliver the truth about the Khojali genocide to overseas students. UNEC\u2019s local and international students and 4 students of UNEC who continue their studies at the University of Mykolos Romeris within the bilateral cooperation and the Professor of Lithuanian University attended the conference. Director of the International Relations Department<\/a><\/span>\u00a0Anar Kazimov<\/a><\/span> provided the professor and the students with the information about Khojali genocide. He said the tragedy was the bloodiest disaster in Azerbaijan history; he talked about the grave consequences of the crime committed by Armenian armed forces against our people, the facts how civilians were brutally killed and subjected to terrible tortures and persecution and humiliation after being captured.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
