A series of events within the \u201cIslamic Solidarity Year\u201d are in progress at UNEC<\/em><\/p>\n

Head of the Department \u201cInternational Relations<\/a><\/span>\u201d, Assistant Professor Ramin Gurbanov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0spoke about the significance of the announcement 2017 the Islamic Solidarity Year within the student scientific conference held at the department. He said the incidents happen in Islamic countries; challenges set towards them makes the solidarity of these countries a pressing issue. President Ilham Aliyev demonstrated Azerbaijan\u2019s determination to contribute to Islamic solidarity.<\/p>\n

Head of the Department of \u201cHumanitarian Disciplines<\/a><\/span>\u201d, Professor Vakil Huseynov emphasized the implementation of the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku in 2017 as one of the practical steps in strengthening Islamic solidarity.<\/p>\n

Associated Professors of the Department \u201cInternational Relations\u201d Zafar Bayramov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and Solmaz Gozalova<\/a><\/span>, a senior teacher Tarana Shirvanova<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and an Associated Professor of the Department \u201cHumanitarian Disciplines\u201d Afag Mammadova made speeches on \u201cIslamic Civilization: Modern Religious Views and New World\u201d, \u201cAzerbaijan and Islam: Islamic Tolerance\u201d, \u201cIslamic Culture and the Europe\u201d and \u201cSolidarity in Islamic Culture\u201d.<\/p>\n

Students majoring in International Relations made speeches on \u201cIslamic Civilization: Modern Religious Views and New World\u201d \u201cNew World Challenges: the Europe and Islam\u201d, \u201cIslamic Culture and Relations between Civilizations\u201d, \u201cNew World Challenges: Azerbaijan and Islam\u201d, \u201cSolidarity in Islamic Culture\u201d and \u201cIslam and Democracy: History and Contemporaneity\u201d within the conference.<\/p>\n

A workshop dedicated to the \u201cIslamic Solidarity Day\u201d was held in the Faculty of Finance and Accounting<\/a><\/span>\u00a0of UNEC.<\/p>\n

Assistant Professor of the Department \u201cInternational Relations\u201d Anar Eyyubov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0made a speech on \u201cPakistan- Azerbaijan Relations as an Example of Islamic Solidarity\u201d. A.Eyyubov stressed the existence of mutual friendship and cultural relations between the two countries. He brought to attention that Pakistan always supports Azerbaijan in Daghlig Garabakh Conflict and is a strategic military partner of our country.<\/p>\n

Assistant Professor of the Department of \u201cHumanitarian Disciplines\u201d Latafat Hummatova made a speech within a lecture organized in the Faculty \u201cTechnology and Design<\/a><\/span>\u201d devoted to \u201cIslamic Solidarity Year\u201d. Islamic culture and religion were reviewed as a factor to influence the social development dynamics during the lecture held on \u201cIslam and Economic Development\u201d.
