The next session of the Academic Board has been held at UNEC.<\/p>\n
UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0congratulated members of the Board on the occasion of May 28 – Republic Day. Vice-rector of UNEC for Academic Affairs, Professor Damat Baghirov<\/a><\/span>\u00a0made a speech about the state of the preparation to the Summer Exam Session of 2016\/2017 academic year. He said 8662 undergraduate students will take exam at UNEC. Exam halls in all academic buildings of UNEC are supplied with technical equipment and schedules are ready.<\/p>\n Information about the innovation to be applied in exam session was delivered after the speech. It was noted that students will able to obtain tests from their personal cabinets. One more innovation was the improvement of appeal system. Students will be able to send their appeals from their personal cabinets and follow the process and at the same time, get respond promptly.<\/p>\n To ensure the objectivity and transparency of the Summer Exam Session the exams will be held open to public this year too. UNEC Public Control Board will realize the control over the exams. They will compare the results of the exams with the previous year and make the analysis. Mass Media will be charged of the \u201cHotline<\/a><\/span>\u201d service within the session; journalists will respond the included appeals. In addition, to gather the appeals in one source and respond them promptly, a special Facebook page will perform in connection with the Summer Exam Session. The \u201cOpen Door\u201d Day will also held with Rector\u2019s participation within the session.<\/p>\n It was also noted that the new standards on the Graduate Programs in Economics and Administration on the II major group submitted to the Ministry of Education by UNEC\u2019s initiative have been approved. According to the new standards, conduct of scientific-research works, writing theses and organization of internship will be preferred in the II year of Graduate Program. Teachers will get the access to the Internet directly from the lecture rooms to enter the necessary sites within the lessons.<\/p>\n The affairs of students\u2019 internship have also been touched upon within the meeting. It was said that there were some shortcomings in the organization of internship yet. Rector gave instructions to relevant structures related with the administration of quality internship.<\/p>\n Members of the Academic Board made decision on liquidation of the Department of \u201cEconomic Law\u201d, in accordance with the innovations held at UNEC. At the same time, they made a decision on cancellation of the Departments of \u201cInternational Economic Relations\u201d and \u201cInternational Relations\u201d and to establish the Department of \u201cInternational Economic Relations and Diplomacy\u201d on their basis.<\/p>\n The newly appointed Head of the Department of International Economics (English study)<\/a><\/span>\u00a0Altay Ismayilov and the new Chairman of the Public Association Support to Economist Students\u2019 Scientific Activity<\/a><\/span>\u00a0Ilkin Mirzezade<\/a><\/span> were introduced to the members of the Academic Board.<\/p>\n The Assistant Professor of the Department \u201cPhysics and Chemistry\u201d Fikret Aliyev and the Assistant Professor of the Department \u201cEconomy and Management of Social Sphere\u201d Mahmud Guluzade were awarded the title of UNEC\u2019s Honorary Professors by the Academic Board.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The next session of the Academic Board has been held at UNEC.
