UNEC_210918One of the goals of the “UNEC-100” Development Strategy, which covers the period until 2030 year, is to become the university of high-quality.

According to the Strategy, in order to gain this goal UNEC targets to increase the number applicants scoring the high points at the entrance exams and chosing the university, raising the average score to 500, to improve continuously the teaching process, to increase the professional level of academic-teaching staff, to raise the share of academic-teaching staff at the age of 40 in teaching process, the international accreditation of educational programs, to increase he scholarship allowance opportunities for students, and the opportunities to provide them with the hostel, to provide the largest distance education services in the country and in the region.

The document reflects the strategic activites to achieve each goal. UNEC will support improving the quality of the secondary education in the country, the formation of the initial economic knowledge of the pupils, will expand the promotion activities regarding the curriculum, will increase the  number of basic schools.

The UNEC,which aims to continually improve the teachihng process at the level that will allow the students to develop the necessary knowledge  and skills by 2030, has identified the key strategic activities in this area. So far, it has been planned to adapt the specialties, educational standards and curriculum to the world practice and the requirements of the labor market, ensuring the choice of the teachers by the students, to reduce the number of active classes and the  number of students up to 1/16 ratio per teacher.

According to the Strategy, for ensuring the effectiveness of teaching in specialized subjects, and improving the software for teaching, developing the teaching resources in Azerbaijani, to establish 24/7 library network, forming the mentorship institute, improving the ICT, academic writing and speaking skills of the students, attrackting more teachers and students to the exchange programs, expanding the use of innovative teaching methods, improving the organization of internship program for the students, increasing the effectiveness of the “Orientation Days” have been identified as the key activities .

Until the 100 anniversary, the UNEC has set up the target for establishing the Distant Education Center, offering by this center the largest distance education services in the country and region, both in general subjects and distance learning programs, as well.
