UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, met with the newly elected and former chairpersons of student organizations, as well as the student rector.
During the meeting, Professor Muradov highlighted the important role students play in the university’s governance processes. He noted that one of the key objectives of the “UNEC 100 Development Strategy” is the strengthening and expansion of student organizations.
The Rector stated that 20 student organizations currently operate at UNEC across various fields, and that these organizations play a vital role in shaping students’ management, teamwork, organizational, and leadership skills. He underscored that one of the core missions of student organizations is to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of information to the student community regarding the decisions and reforms implemented by the university administration:“This is of great importance for keeping students informed about ongoing changes and for obtaining their views on the decisions made by the administration. Mutual communication is crucial for ensuring greater transparency and efficiency in the university’s governance processes,” he said.
Professor Muradov also drew students’ attention to the university’s core values, advising them to be patriotic, active, and responsible citizens.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Rector expressed gratitude to the outgoing chairpersons for their contributions to university life and wished them success in their studies and future endeavors. Congratulating the newly elected chairpersons on their election victory, he encouraged them to remain active and initiative-driven in the period ahead.
