UNEC Delegation Explores Opportunities for Academic Cooperation with Leading Universities in Ankara

A delegation of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), comprising Ragif Gasimov, Director of the Zagatala Branch; Saida Babayeva, Head of the Military and Special Department; Assoc. Prof. Mahammad Aliyev, Head of the Business and Logistics Department; Elshan Mammadov, Head of the Public Administration and Social Innovations Department; and Matanat Mammadova, Head of the Archive Department, undertook an official working visit to Ankara with the objective of enhancing UNEC’s international academic partnerships.

As part of the visit, the delegation held meetings at several of Turkiye’s leading higher education institutions, including Hacettepe University, Gazi University, Middle East Technical University (METU), and Ankara Haji Bayram Veli University. During these engagements, the parties conducted in-depth discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation across priority areas of mutual interest.

The principal topics of deliberation included faculty and student mobility, implementation of joint scientific research projects, expansion of collaboration through academic and digital learning platforms, organization of seminars on the application of artificial intelligence technologies in higher education, exchange of best practices related to the operation of technoparks, and advancement of joint initiatives in scientific and research activities.

At the conclusion of the meetings, a preliminary understanding was reached regarding potential avenues for future cooperation among the universities.
