UNEC Reaches Agreement on ACCA Qualification Opportunities

A meeting was held at UNEC with representatives of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), one of the world’s most prestigious professional bodies in the field of finance and accounting.

During the meeting between UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, ACCA’s newly appointed Education Coordinator for Eurasia and the Middle East, Tariro Masukume, and Regional Manager Senem Ross-Forrester, the parties discussed prospective areas of cooperation.

The primary focus of the discussions was to establish opportunities for UNEC students to obtain an ACCA qualification alongside their university degree during the course of their studies. The parties reached a mutual understanding regarding the next steps to be undertaken in this direction. It was noted that this collaboration will enhance the international competitiveness of UNEC graduates and broaden their global career prospects.

It was also emphasized that several UNEC academic programmes are already accredited by ACCA. In addition, it was highlighted that an ACCA Examination Centre is currently operating at UNEC.
