Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) announces admission to doctoral studies under the Doctor of Philosophy program for 2025
- Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have completed the master’s level of higher education (by defending a master’s thesis), or who have an education recognized as equivalent, may apply for doctoral studies under the Doctor of Philosophy program.
- The following documents must be submitted for admission to doctoral studies:
- Personal registration form;
- Curriculum vitae (CV);
- 2 photos (size 3×4 cm);
- Reference letter from the workplace (if employed);
- Extract from the employment record book for those with work experience;
- List of published scientific works (with copies of the pages from the journals in which the works were published). The content of the scientific works must correspond to the chosen specialty. Applicants without scientific publications must submit a paper (referat) on a topic related to their chosen specialty. Requirements regarding the content and formatting of the paper can be found on the page: https://unec.edu.az/doktorantura-sobesi/;
- Notarized copies of diplomas and transcripts of higher education, or QR-coded documents obtained from the Electronic Government Information System. For those who studied abroad, a certificate of recognition of the education document issued by the Ministry of Science and Education is required;
- Copy of the identity document.
- Submission of documents will be carried out via the portal.edu.az platform until June 2, 2025. The documents must be uploaded in electronic PDF format.
- Applicants whose documents are accepted will take an exam in the Foreign Language subject at the State Examination Center in June 2025. Those who obtain a passing score in the Foreign Language subject will be admitted to the Philosophy exam. Candidates who receive a “pass” grade in the Philosophy exam will be admitted to the Specialty exam. The Philosophy exam is scheduled for September 2–4, 2025, and the Specialty exam is scheduled for September 9–11, 2025.
