Scientific- methodological seminar “The Compositional Features of Azerbaijani Carpets” held at UNEC
Scientific-methodological seminar has been held at the Faculty of Technology and Design of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). The Associated Professor of the Department of Design Elfane Gasimova has made a speech on “Compositional Features of Azerbaijani Carpets in the end of the XIX Century and beginning of the XX Century” within the seminar attended by the academic staff of the faculty, laboratory and technical support staff and the graduate and doctoral students of the major department.
It has been emphasized that the Azerbaijani carpets differ with their colors, durability, weaving techniques and other aesthetic features from the carpets of Eastern countries; the discussions about Garabagh, Ganja, Gazakh, Guba, Shamakhi and Baku carpets which dominated the local and overseas markets and the variety and differences of their delicate designs have also been made.
