UNEC commemorated the memory of the Nationwide Leader
The event on the occasion of commemorating the memory of the great leader, the genius Heydar Aliyev was held at the Azerbaijan State Economic University (UNEC).
The UNEC rector, professor Adalat Muradov and other responsible executives respectfully laid flowers at Heydar Aliyev’s bust at UNEC.
Before the event, the memory of the great leader was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Opening the event with the introductory speech the UNEC rector, Professor Adalat Muradov noted that, the nationwide leader was not just a genius politician but also a wise, successful economist. The rector said that, the formation of the structure of the national economy in soviet times, maintaining the interests of Azerbaijan during the distribution of national income, establishing of the most important industrial enterprises in the country and the struggle for ensuring its activity was the indicator of how Heydar Aliyev thought of the future of Azerbaijan.
The rector noted that, Heydar Aliyev had paid the great attention to the issue of the formation of human capital, which was of particular importance for the future of Azerbaijan. Thousands of young people who had been educated at that time with the support of the Nationwide Leader were working for sake of Azerbaijan. The efforts had made by the great personality, the works done for the future of Azerbaijan gives us grounds to say that he believed that our country would gain the independence.
“Heydar Aliyev was also a great man. Those people, who know him and who do not know him, speak of his love for him “. Many historical figures in their memoirs regarding to Heydar Aliyev stressed that, he was a great politician. The first president of the Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, when sharing his memories of Heydar Aliyev, particularly touched upon how he had protected the interests of Azerbaijan. In Moscow, during the meeting of the State Heads of CIS, addressing to Boris Yeltsin, Heydar Aliyev raised some issues, including creating of conditions for the preservation of the common space of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the issue of food. B.Yeltsin firstly ignores the appeal, but after L.Kravchuk supported the issue that was necessary for Ukraine, the topic was included into the agenda.
The UNEC rector continuing his speech noted that, Heydar Aliyev was also a worthy head of family. Continuing his policy, the earnest efforts of Ilham Aliyev for further development, welfare and prosperity of the country encourages us to approach to our work with greater confidence.
Then the video clip devoted to a great personality was demonstrated.
The Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor Mahabbat Pashayeva delivered the report entitled “Heydar Aliyev and the history of Azerbaijan statehood” and informed about the rich activity of the Great Leader. The performance of Zelimkhan Yagub’s “Heydar History of the Century” by Jala Rzayeva, the student of the “SABAH” Center was greatly appreciated by the participants of the event.
Leyli Hamidova, the Candidate of Political Sciences, made a report entitled “Heydar Aliyev – a world-renowned political leader” and noted that, the Nationwide Leader was a well-known figure not only in the post-Soviet space, but also all over the world.
The event continued with other speeches.
