A new Student Rector has been elected at UNEC
The next Student-rector Elections have been held at UNEC.
The re-election was held in accordance with the rules of completion of UNEC Student-Rector Elmir Sadigov’s term of office.
Prior to the election, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Associate Professor Saadat Kandilova gave information on the purpose of the Student-rector Institute applied at UNEC. She said the main goal was to create a student self-government system, to develop a transparent, effective management mechanism, to identify the relationships between students and university management based on international experience. Vice-rector urged students to be objective in the elections.
Then faculty candidates announced their platforms. After the speeches, voting was held. According to the results of the voting, Javid Adilzadeh, a third-year student of the faculty of Finance and Accounting, was elected a new Student-rector.
The elections were broadcast live on official Facebook page of UNEC.
