UNEC has started cooperation with Ege University

Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and Ege University has signed a cooperation agreement today.

The document was signed by the rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov and the rector of Ege University, Professor Necdet Budak, the main purpose of which was to strengthen bilateral cooperation and provide mutual exchange between universities. Collaboration between partner universities will be realized on the prospects of provision of academic and cultural cooperation. This cooperation covers educational and research activities presented in all areas of both universities. Collaboration includes implementation of teachers and researchers exchange, promoting of admission of university doctoral students, teachers or researchers to partner universities, involvement to joint research and publication of research results, exchange of students, implementation of dual diploma programs in bachelor and master degrees based on mutual recognition and other areas.

During the signing ceremony, rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov welcomed the guests and noted that thanks to the support and care of the National leader Heydar Aliyev, education in Azerbaijan had been developed and had been upgraded to the most advanced level under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. After touching upon the achievements, rector, Professor Adalat Muradov said that UNEC is the only university in the country giving the highest economic education in the Turkish language, and spoke about the work carried out in the faculty of Turkish World Economy. Noting that UNEC is the only foreign university having a branch in the Russian Federation, the rector said that Azerbaijan State University of Economics possesses an extensive international network of double diploma programs, including world-wide famous universities such as LSE (England), Monpelye (France).

Noting that UNEC is working on expanding the number and geography of bilateral diplomacy programs with leading world universities, the rector touched upon the ongoing work to further improve the quality of teaching at the university.

The rector said that the main goal of all the activities and projects is to train highly qualified specialists at UNEC.

In his turn, the rector of  Ege University, Professor Necdet Budak expressed gratitude to the UNEC leadership for warm welcome. He stated that Ege University had been training highly qualified personnel in such areas as pharmaceuticals, food engineering, chemistry, medicine, and biomedicine.

He said that 206 universities are operating in Turkey, while Ege University ranks fourth among them and 616th in world universities.

Highly appreciating the launch of cooperation with UNEC, Prof. Necdet Budak wished success to both sides in this important work.
