Students of the Faculty of Digital Economy at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), Amil Abdullazada and Rasul Sadigli, successfully represented the university by achieving outstanding results in two prestigious hackathons held in December.

At the “Industry 4.0: Hackathon 2025”, organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy and by the Analysis and Coordination Center of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM), more than 230 teams and over 800 participants competed for victory. The hackathon focused on developing practical and innovative solutions based on automation, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies for industrial production processes.

In the highly competitive final stage, UNEC students’ “DeepSense” team distinguished itself among 30 finalist teams, securing second place and winning a cash prize of 2,000 manats.

In addition, Amil Abdullazada and Rasul Sadigli also performed successfully at IDDA Hackathon 2, a fintech competition held in Baku, where they earned third place and were awarded another 2,000 manats in prize money.

During the intensive 48-hour hackathon, teams developed MVPs tailored to real market needs and presented their ideas to an expert jury.
