The First League competitions of 2017-2018 season of the Azerbaijani Voleyball Championship started.

In total, in the volleyball competitions where 19 teams participated, the men’s and women’s teams of UNEC compete, as well. On the first day of the competition in the struggle of men the UNEC team “Economist” defeated the team “Sheki” with the score of 3:2. And in the women’s competition the UNEC team defeated the team “Ganja” with the score 3:0.

In the league that will last for 2 months, 10 groups in the men’s division, and 9 teams in the women’s division are competing in 2 groups.

It would be noted that, the coaches of the volleyball team consisted of men are Sergey Titovets and Etibar Gasimov, and the coaches of the volleyball team consisted of women are Siyavush Akhundov, Gazanfar Jafarov and Vidadi Yolchuyev.
