Cand.of Econ. Scien., Assoc.Prof., Hajiyev Galib Bahram
Galib Bahram oglu Hajiyev was born on 24.05.1976 in Gachagan village of Marneuli region of the Republic of Georgia and received his secondary education at the school in that village. In 1994-1998 he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and auditing at the faculty of accounting and economics of Azerbaijan State Institute of Economics, and in 1998-2000 he received a master’s degree in the same speciality from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics. From 2000 to 2018 he worked at the Azerbaijan Scientific Research Institute of Agricultural Economics and Organization (AzETKTI and TI). In 2000-2001 he was a chief economist in the department of “Stimulation of production and labor” at AzETKTI and TI, in 2001-2002 he was a senior researcher in the department of “Stimulation of production in mountainous regions”, in 2002-2003 “State regulation of the agrarian sector” Senior Researcher, Leading Researcher from 2003-2004, Senior Researcher from 2004-2005, Head of Department from 2006 to 02.05.2016. Since 01.12.2011, he has been working as a teacher at the department of “Economics and Management of Agrarian-Industrial Enterprises” of Azerbaijan State University of Economics. In 2015-2019, he worked as a full-time associate professor at the department of “Enterprise Economics”. Since 2019, he has been working at the Economics and Accounting Department at SOCAR’s Head Office and is also a part-time associate professor at the UNEC department of Theoretical and Practical Economics.
His works have been published in indexed journals (based on Web of Science and Scopus) on prestigious platforms and delivered speeches at international and national scientific-theoretical and practical conferences. Her 66 works were published in scientific-theoretical journals, and conference proceedings and she is the co-author of the book. She is a member of the editorial board of the “News” journal of the Georgian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, as well as the international scientific-practical journal “Agricultural Economics and Technology” in Georgia, as well as the collection “Scientific Works” (until 2019) of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute.
He participates in the implementation of scientific reports and other scientific work, as well as in the training of highly qualified personnel, especially graduate students and PhD students (as the scientific supervisor of 2 people and an official opponent of 4 people).

As a result of the decision of the Scientific Council of AzETTI and TI on 27.12.2001, the topic of his PhD thesis work has been approved on the speciality 08.00.05 – “Economics and Management of National Economy (Agriculture)”. He defended his thesis on “Problems of organization of agro-marketing in the Republic of Azerbaijan” for the degree of candidate of economic sciences. On January 30, 2007, he was awarded the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in 2013, the title of Associate Professor.
He has been a member of Scientific seminars under the Dissertation Councils for the defence of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics and Doctor of Economics at UNEC (D.02.051 Dissertation Council) and Agricultural Research Institute of Agriculture (FD.04.014 Dissertation Council).
On December 31, 2016, on the occasion of the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year, he was awarded the “Decree of Honor” by the order of the UNEC Rector for effective scientific-pedagogical and labour activities. At the same time, on October 4, 2017, by the order of the UNEC Rector, a group of teachers were awarded on the occasion of “Teachers’ Day”, taking into account their long-term fruitful scientific and pedagogical activities, and “Thanks” were announced to G.B.Hajiyev.
