He was born on February 23, 1977. In 1984-1995 he studied at Goydara village secondary school in Julfa, Nakhchivan AR. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1995-1999 and a master’s degree in 1999-2001.
In 2002, he began his labor activity in the “Elegant Organic Synthesis” STL at the department of Organic Chemistry of BSU. In 2004, he completed postgraduate studies at the Department of Organic Chemistry at BSU. In 2007 he defended his doctoral thesis on “The synthesis and transformation of 1,2-aminspyres with some aryl”. In 2012-2017 he studied at the doctorate on the program of Doctor of Science in the department of Organic Chemistry at BSU. In 2016 he was awarded the title of associate professor. He is currently working on his doctoral dissertation.
Since 2002 he has been working in the department of “Organic Chemistry” of BSU. He is the author of more than 50 scientific works.

Assoc. Prof. A. N Khalilov has scientific cooperation and contacts with scientists from Washington University in St. Louis (St. Louis, USA), Cordoba University (Cordoba, Spain), Manchester Metropolitan University (Manchester, UK), University of Parma (Parma, Italy), and Antofagasta University (Chile).
