Doctor of Economic Sciences, Muradov Rovshan Shahbaz
He was born on May 10, 1970 in Baku.
In 1993 he graduated with honors from the Azerbaijan State Institute of Economics (now the Azerbaijan State University of Economics) majoring in Labor Economics and Sociology. In the same year, he entered the full-time postgraduate course of the Institute of Economics of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences (now ANAS) and in 1996 he successfully graduated from it.
In August 1993, he was hired as a junior researcher in the Laboratory of Sociological Research of the University of Economics as a young specialist.
On September 28, 1994, he was appointed an expert to the Standing Committee on Economic Policy (now the Committee) of the Supreme Soviet (now the Milli Majlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan by transfer. From that year he worked in the Secretariat of the Supreme Soviet, in the Office of the Milli Majlis in various responsible positions: consultant, senior adviser, chief adviser, deputy head of department-head of the sector.
At present, he works as Deputy Head of the Economic Legislation Department of the Office of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On May 30, 1997, in order to get the degree of candidate of Economics, he defended his thesis on “Problems of formation and improvement of the employment structure in the transition to a market economy” in Labour economics at the specialized dissertation council under the Institute of Economics of AAS (now ANAS) at the specialized dissertation council D.0004.0501.
By the decision of the Supreme Attestation Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 24, 1997 (minutes № 51) he was awarded the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences (EN № 01366); By the decision of “September 26, 2006 (min. № 25) he has awarded the title of associate professor (DS № 02601).
He was awarded the Medal “For Distinction in Civil Service” by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 27, 2013 No. 2978 for effective work in the civil service.

He was awarded the rank of State Counselor of the 3rd degree by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 1275 dated June 17, 2015 “On awarding professional ranks to civil servants holding administrative positions”.
On November 25, 2015, in order to get a Doctor of Economics, he defended his thesis in speciality 5308.01 “General Economics” on the topic “Socio-economic and demographic problems of formation and use of labour potential in the Republic of Azerbaijan” at the dissertation council D.01.181 operating at the Institute of Economics of ANAS. By the decision of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 21, 2016 (protocol № 09-R), he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Economics (ED № 01749).
From January 2, 2004, he worked as a leading researcher in the department of “Demography and reproduction of labour force” of the Institute of Economics of ANAS with 0.5 staff replacement, and from November 1, 2013, to March 1, 2016, as a senior researcher.
He is a 0.5 full-time professor at the UNEC Department of Business and Logistics.
He is the author of 4 monographs, about 70 scientific-methodical works.
Married, has 2 children.
