A seminar on anti-drug addiction was held at the Faculty of Economics and Management
A seminar on anti-drug addiction was held at the Faculty of Economics and Management of UNEC.
At the seminar, the dean of the faculty Assoc. Elchin Eyvazov, Mayis Sadigov, adviser of the Law Department of UNEC, made a speech and said that drug addiction is one of the most serious social problems affecting all mankind in modern times. The speakers stated that Azerbaijan is one of the countries that is fighting against drug addiction and noted that as a result of the decisive steps taken in this direction in our country, important successes have been achieved in recent years, illegal circulation of drugs, psychotropic substances and drug addiction are among the main problems that concern the world today. At the same time, they characterized illegal drug trafficking, which leads to an increase in criminality, as a source of funding for terrorism, as one of the most serious threats to international security.
At the end of the seminar, students’ questions were answered.
It should be noted that according to the 2024 work plan of the State Program for the Fight against Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an educational video was shown to students in the “Economics and Management” faculty in order to expand anti-drug addiction promotion and education among young people.
