Innovations made in the direction of modernization the human resources are being continued at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). 10 young instructors recently joined the project “Young Teachers” began their pedagogical activities at UNEC. Young people the foreign language skills, creative thinking and studied or interned abroad were preferred during the selection process.
The number of American, European and Canadian Universities’ alumni starting their activities at UNEC has reached to 68.
One of them is Fariz Guliyev.
Fariz Guliyev finished the chemistry and biology oriented lyceum 5 of Nizami district, Baku in 2001. The same year he entered the Faculty of International Economic Relations of Azerbaijan State University of Economics with the higher 663 scores. He received a letter of gratitude by the Chairman of SCSA for his result. Fariz Guliyev also participated in the National Leader’ meeting with students. He graduated from the Special Talents Group of UNEC in 2005 with honors.
F.Guliyev was awarded a diploma for his speech on “The Role of Oil and Gas Resources in the Economic Development of the Caucasian Region”.
He got trained on business at Rochester Technology Institute (New York) within 2005-2007 and carried active social activity. He was involved in work as a representative of the Chamber of Commerce in Washington during Azerbaijan Republic’s President Mr. Ilham Aliyev’s and state representatives’ official trip to the USA.
In the years of 2008- 2009 he served as an expert of the Cooperation Sector with International Economic Organizations of the Foreign Relations Department of Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Economic Development. Within the activity he conducted research to monitor the results of technical assistance projects under the international economic organizations. He got a letter of gratitude by the Ministry of Economy and Industry for the organizational affairs done during the Israel and Syrian Presidents’ official visits to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Within 2009-2011 Fariz Guliyev conducted the financial audit of the banks and institutions of Ernst &Young LLP independent auditing company’s Baku office in the USA continuing his activity on the major. He also took part in the financial audit projects of the Central Bank, State Oil Company and other institutions of public importance.
In the years of 2011-2013 F.Guliyev got MBA education on “Natural Resources, Energy and the Management of Environment” within the State Program on Azerbaijan Youths’ Education Abroad in 2007-2015 by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Education.
His article in English on “The Economy of Financial Instruments for the Implementation of Environmental Commitments and their Impact on Oil Revenues in North America” was published in the scientific journal “The Journal of Economics: Theory and Practice” in May of 2014. The article covers the fulfillment of the environmental obligations operating an international consortium of operators in the next decades in the fields of oil, gas and other industrial projects and the budget receipt impact issues.
Faris Guliyev has been serving the Deputy Director of MBA Department on Education and Projects of Azerbaijan State University of Economics since August of 2014. He is getting trained on Certified Public Accountant in AICPA Audit Institute of the USA.
He developed the new curriculum in relation with the American, Canadian and European experience and today’s requirement and applied at MBA Department. He continues to work hard responding to the economic and political interests of optimal education as the basis of the most priority issue.
