UNEC will benefit of the experience of Finland and Estonia in Quality Assurance
Director of the Center for Assessment and Management of the Quality of Education of Azerbaijan State University of Economics Ragif Gasimov attended trainings in Finland and Estonia.
R.Gasimov became familiar with work principles, structures and charters of Finnish Education Evaluation Center and Estonian Quality Assessment Agency within the trainings. The roles of audit examples of the center on universities, Finland Board of Rectors and Student Trade Union Committee (SAMOK) in quality assurance were discussed in the meeting. The quality provision experience, development of universities’ reports on self- assessment and the structure of the evaluation reports of the quality provision agencies of the Universities of Helsinki, Diakona and Tallinn were studied.
Detailed information on reforms held by UNEC in internal and international quality assurance was delivered by Ragif Gasimov in the presentation on “Quality Provision in Higher Education System of Azerbaijan” within the six- day training.
Note that, UNEC is selected one of the “Pilot Universities” within the project “To support the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to adapt the Higher Education System to the requirements of the European Higher Education Area” and affairs towards the establishment of European Standards at the university will start in October of this year.
