25 Years of Independence: The Results of Socio- economic Development and Perspectives
Event dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of Restoration of State Independence has been at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) within the “Science Month”.
Director of the Science and Innovations Center of UNEC, Professor Sakit Yagubov had a brief look at the socio-economic processes implemented within the 25 years of State Independence. He said that the policy implemented by National Leader Heydar Aliyev who lead the Republic of Azerbaijan from the rapidly deepening socio-economic, socio-political crises, preserved its independence and established unshakable basis for its sustainable development is successfully underway by his faithful follower President Ilham Aliyev.
Head of the Department of Scientific Research Institute of Economic Studies of UNEC Rashad Huseynov made a speech on “25 Years of Independence: The Results of Socio-economic Development and Perspectives”. Analyzing the socio-economic development processes of Azerbaijan within the late 25 years which cover 1991-2015, he noted that that Azerbaijan became the leading country in the Southern Caucasus as a successful result of the socio-economic development strategy established by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. R.Huseynov delivered the information about the priority issues intended to implement on the strategic roadmap of the national economy.
Director of UNEC Scientific-research Institute of Economic Studies, Professor Yadulla Hasanli spoke about the necessity of carrying out a large-scale scientific research related with the future socio-economic development of Azerbaijan. He said that the research is conducted in this direction at UNEC and the workshops are conducted in relation. He urged UNEC’s academic staff, as well as undergraduate and graduate students to attend the seminars.
