Azerbaijan State University of Economics is ready for the new Academic Year
A wide meeting was arranged at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). The work done at the university, innovations to be implemented and ways to solve the existing problems related with the preparation to 2015/2016 academic year became the subject of the meeting held with Vice-rectors, Directors of the Centers and Deans of the Schools.
UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov drew the participants’ attention to the fact that 2015/2016 was announced a “Year of Quality”. He noted that a series of important innovations were planned to be carried out within the “Year of Quality”. Primarily this includes the study of the world’s leading universities’ educational system and the affairs continuously done in the university in accordance with them.
The application of the innovation at UNEC was widely discussed during the meeting. It was noted that the complete digitalization of the teaching process is the main issue on the agenda of the new academic year and the initial steps in this direction have already been implemented. Thus, our higher educational institution is developing the full electronic journal system saying “no” to paper journal. For interactive organization of the education process all lecture- rooms of the main building were equipped with electronic platforms and projectors. These platforms and projectors will be installed in all training buildings of the University, according to the Rector.
Rector A.Muradov delivered his recommendations to Deans in the direction of the improving the work with the students in 2015/2016. He pointed that the efficient organization of the students’ spare times and involving them to scientific activity will be the priority issue in addition to providing high- quality education to them. In the end, Rector gave his instructions in relation with increasing the care to the students, especially newly enrolled ones and added emphasis to work with parents.
