The Vice-rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics for Training and Teaching Technologies, Professor Damat Baghirov introduced the acting Dean of the newly established School of Business and Management Miragha Ahmadov to employees.
D.Baghirov spoke about the structural reforms targeted in improving the management and choosing more efficient management forms at UNEC. He said that UNEC Rector, Professor A.Muradov has signed a decree on establishing the School of Business and Management to ensure the execution of the Academic Board’s decisions. According to the decision UNEC’s Faculties of Commerce, Business Administration, as well as the Faculty of Informatics and Management were abolished and the School of Business and Management was established. The execution of the position of the Faculty’s Dean was assigned to the former Dean of the School of Commerce, Assistant Professor Miragha Ahmadovuntil the elections would be held.
The Departments of Economy and Technologies of Informatics, Management, Informatics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Organization of Customs Affairs, Marketing, Humanitarian studies, Business Administration, Azerbaijan Language, Russian Language were subordinated to the School of Business and Management in connection of the establishment of new faculty.
Head of the Department of Trade and Customs Affairs, Professor Arif Shakaraliyev highly evaluated the foundation of mega-faculty at UNEC. He talked about the positive changes to the administration of education. The participants of the event wished M.Ahmadov success in his activities highly appreciating the foundation of mega-faculty focused aimed in improving management at UNEC.
The acting Dean of the new faculty Miragha Ahmadov spoke about the objectives of the faculty. He promised to fulfill the duties for further enhancing the quality of education at UNEC, establishing teacher and student relations of the desired level, training well-educated, skilled and competent personnel to see UNEC among the world-class universities as the School of Business and Management.
