Candidate of geography., Associate Professor Khalilov Ilgar Beylar
He was born in 1958 in Juvarli village of Fizuli region.
In 1975, he graduated from Fizuli city secondary school No.1.
In 1980 he graduated from the faculty of geography of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute with a degree in geography.
In 1980-1982, he began his career as a geography teacher at the Chaman village school of Fizuli region.
In 1982, he entered the full-time postgraduate course of the Institute of Geography of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
He served in the army in 1983-1985.
He graduated from the graduate school in 1987.
Until 2000, he worked as a junior researcher, researcher and senior researcher at the department of “Nature Protection and Rational Use of Effective Resources” of the Institute of Geography.
In 1992, under the guidance of academician Hasan Aliyev, he defended his dissertation at the Desert Institute in Ashgabat, and he received the degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences with the code 11.00.11 on “Environmental protection and efficient use of natural resources”.
In 2000, he was senior lecturer at the department of Economic Geography of Azerbaijan State University of Economics; Since 2007, he has worked as an associate professor.
He is currently an associate professor at the department of Environmental Protection and Economics.
He is the author and co-author of 6 textbooks and teaching aids, 5 curricula, a methodical manual, a methodical instruction, budget based scientific works and up to 50 scientific articles and theses.
He is married and has two children.
