Jafarbeyli Yusif Vahid
He was born on September 1, 2000 in Baku. He is originally from Lachin region.
In 2017, he left secondary school No. 13 named after Sh. Efendizade. In the same year, he was admitted to the faculty of Economics of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), majoring in World Economy, and is studying in the fourth year.
He was involved in music at an early age. He studied folk music at Niyazi Music School No. 22, first in tar and then in the singing classes. He is one of the most socially active young people, both in his school years and now at the university. He is the chairman of Economist-Patriots Organization, which operates at UNEC, where he is studying.
He has repeatedly visited the frontline with the university staff. He visited the front lines in 2019 as part of a campaign “We are proud of you, Azerbaijani soldier!” to support the Azerbaijani Army Organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and UNEC. As an active participant in the action, he was awarded a special gift by the Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov.
Yusif Jafarbeyli, a member of the University’s Creativity Center, is also making great strides in the field of music. In 2016, he was the first in the nomination “The best mugam performance to the lyrics of N. Ganjavi” in the art competition dedicated to the 875th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education and the Republican Training and Methodological Center for Aesthetic Education.
He was awarded the second place in the “Mugam” music nomination at the XII All-Republican Creative Festival of Students “Student Spring” in 2019, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and in 2020 he was awarded the first place in the “Mugam” music nomination at the XIII All-Republican Creative Festival of Students “Student Spring”.

On the occasion of the proclamation of 2019 as the “Year of Nasimi” by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, he performed as a singer in a play dedicated to Nasimi in Ankara, Turkey and performed Nasimi’s ghazals on mugham. He was awarded a letter of appreciation by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkey and a bronze commemorative banknote with Nasimi’s image on it. He was both a participant and organizer of a number of projects.
In 2018, he was the group leader of the “Young Heydar Aliyevs” military-patriotic summer camp, jointly implemented by the Ministry of Defense and the Sabail District Executive Power, and was awarded an Honorary Decree at the end of the camp.
He is a member of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Republican Friendship Society named after H.Aliyev and actively participates in the society’s events. He was a participant of the II Congress of Students of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He has been the chairman of the UNEC Economist Patriots Organization of UNEC.
