“EduHack” hackathon will be co-organized by UNEC, INNOLAND Incubation and Acceleration Center and Next Step Innovation Center.
The main purpose of the hackathon which is going to be held for the first time in the country in the field of education, is to find innovative solutions to the problems of distance education.
The topic of hackathon has attracted the attention of Azerbaijani universities, as well as students and graduates of prestigious universities abroad. A total of 283 applications were received from 24 universities in Azerbaijan and 21 universities in 11 foreign countries to participate in the hackathon. University of Houston, Minerva School at Keck Institute, University of Toronto, Canada, University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, University of Glasgow, Lancaster University, Middle East Technical University, Yildiz Technical University, Sabanci University, Sakarya University, Ozyegin University, Ukraine Kyiv Politechnic University, Eindhoven University of Technology of Netherlands, Corvinus University of Budapest , Budapest Business School, Szeged University, Tallinn Technical University in Estonia, Warsaw University in Poland, Vistula University, Riga University of Technology in Latvia and” ORT Israel” network of schools in Israel are on the list of applicants.
Innovative-minded, enterprising, able to work in a team, development-oriented young people can take part in the competition. Participants will work on their initiatives for 3 days (July 31, August 1-2). During this time, they will turn their ideas into projects with the support of mentors from the education and innovation sectors.
The prize fund is 6000 AZN and the 1st place winner will receive 3000 AZN, the 2nd place winner will receive 2000 AZN, and the 3rd place winner will receive 1000 AZN.
