November 9 is the memorial day of Teymur Majidzadeh, a graduate of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), who was martyred for the freedom of Karabakh.
Hours before the end of the Second Patriotic War, Teymur Majidzade died heroically in the battles for Khojavand-Shusha and was raised to the rank of martyr.
Associate Professor Elchin Eyvazov, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of UNEC, Rufat Suleymanli, Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee of UNEC, deputy deans, active students, friends of the martyr and military comrades took part in the memorial service of Teymur Majidzade, who was buried in II Fakhri Khiyaban. At the commemoration ceremony, the souls of the martyrs were remembered with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem was played by the military orchestra of the Ministry of Defense. At the event, they paid tribute to the dear memory of the martyr and arranged flowers in front of his grave.
After his death, Teymur Majidzade was awarded the “For the Fatherland”, “For the liberation of Jabrayil”, “For the liberation of Fuzuli”, “For the liberation of Shusha”, “For military services” medals, and recently with the “III degree Order of Bravery”.
