The Competition of “Young Investor” at UNEC
The project to be jointly held by Baku Stock Exchange and Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) aims to increase students’ interests to finance and securities market and to contribute in gaining the necessary knowledge in the field. The participants will be second, third and fourth- year students of all faculties.
Theme of the competition will mostly cover the spheres such as finance, securities market and business administration. The competition will be announced in the form of case; i.e. students will analyze the given case suggesting the ways to the solution of the given problem. The main question of the contest is by the company facing some challenges should attract fund with the most optimal way through securities market. The case material affects all information about the company, its past and financial statement. Students should study the situation attentively, analyze attached documents and write an essay on the basis of their own judgement about the proper way to offer financing. Winners of the competition will be selected from the submitted essays.
The winner students will be awarded. The winner of I place will be paid 800AZN, II place 400AZN and III place 300 AZN. Other participants will also be presented different gifts. The contest will equip students in properly decision- making, conducting analysis and reasoning. It should be noted that the competition is to be held within the transaction signed between the State Committee on Securities of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
