Competition of “Economic Knowledge” at UNEC
A competition of “Economic Knowledge” has been launched among I year undergraduates of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). Vice-rector for Students’ Affairs, Associate Professor Saadat Gandilova noted the goal of a rivalry organized by the Student Scientific Society of the School of Economics was to improve students’ knowledge in major disciplines, form their competitiveness and develop the ability to conduct research and debate.
Dean of the School of Economics, Associate Professor Asiman Guliyev delivered the information about the knowledge competition. He said the teams containing the students of the School of Economics were tasked on “Introduction to Economy” in advance to investigate the topics thoroughly and prepare presentation.
Then the teams introduced their presentations. The rivalry went on in the format of discussions among the teams.
According to the jury, three teams got the right to participate in the next stage within the contest joined by 33 students from 6 teams. II stage of the rivalry “Economic Knowledge” will be organized among the schools of the university. Winners will be awarded with diplomas and prize.
The authors of the project are the instructor of the Department of Economic Theory, Assistant Professor Sevda Sardarova and SSS Chairman of the School of Economics Fidan Jahangirova.
