An International Research Center on WTO will be established at UNEC

A delegation headed by Mr. Alpaslan Acarsoy, the chairman of the working group of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Azerbaijan, and the permanent representative of Turkey to the WTO, visited UNEC with the participation of Galib Israfilov, the representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the UN branch in Geneva and other international organizations.
The representatives of the WTO were informed about the university in the meeting held with the participation of the rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov, and the heads of relevant structures.
Then, discussions were held on the current status of Azerbaijan’s WTO accession process and upcoming issues, as well as the role of academic circles in that process. In the end, a decision was made to establish an International Research Center on the WTO together with the WTO at UNEC.
