UNEC Employees at the Montpellier University: “Restructuring and Development of Doctoral Education in Azerbaijan”
Employees of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) participated in the introductory meeting held within the framework of the Erasmus+ Project “NIZAMI”- Restructuring and Development of Doctoral Education in Azerbaijan in accordance with the Requirements of the European Higher Education Are” at Montpellier University of France. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the meeting attended by a number of higher education institutions’ representatives. Nine higher education institutions from Azerbaijan, the University of Barcelona (Spain), University of Heidelberg (Germany), University of Masaryk (Czech) and University of Uppsala (Holland) from Europe and Fatih University of Turkey are included into the consortium of the project. Additionally two support partners are also included.
During the meeting attended by the Deputy Head of the International Relations Department of UNEC Anar Kazimov and the inspector of the Department Aysel Musayeva proposals on developing the doctoral education were heard. Accelerate the internationalization of higher education institution and develop cooperation in teaching, research and innovations were discussed as well.
It was noted that the current situation in the doctoral education, structuring, high standards, development of professional skills for the implementation of the project, internationalization, quality plan, management of national portal, communication and management employee package are included into the NIZAMI Project. It was also planned to organize workshops at different times in 2016, 2017 and 2018 in connection with the implementation of the working plans. UNEC will host one of the seminars to be held in April 2016.
