The staff of UNEC has an exchange of experience at the Portuguese university
The staff of UNEC has been on a business trip to Lisbon, Portugal within the Erasmus + program (ENGAGE) project.
Sabuhi Tanriverdiyev, director of the Correspondence and Additional Education Center, and Gultaj Tahirli, an employee of the Department of International Cooperation participated in the training organized at the Higher Technical Institute of Portugal (Instituto Superior Tecnico) within the framework of the project “Strengthening the sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem in Azerbaijan higher education institutions” (ENGAGE), which is a partner of UNEC and financed by the European Commission.
In addition to representatives of UNEC, representatives of the country, as well as foreign partner universities from Sweden, Poland, Spain, and Estonia were also represented at the training.
The aim of the training was to study the advanced experience of Portuguese higher education institutions regarding the application of entrepreneurship and innovation activities in universities and to investigate the possibilities of applying this experience in Azerbaijani universities.
In the 5-day training program, the participants got acquainted with presentations and held discussions on topics such as technology centers, social innovation laboratories, and technology-based entrepreneurship programs. At the same time, they visited a number of technology laboratories and innovation centers in Lisbon.
Sabuhi Tanriverdiyev, director of the Center for Correspondence and Additional Education of UNEC, gave a presentation and informed the participants about the goals and objectives of the Development Strategy of UNEC. He spoke about the goals set by UNEC and the work done in order to realize the goal of becoming an entrepreneurial university.
Gültaj Tahirli, an employee of the ICD, gave a group work presentation on the topic of forming a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem in universities.
On the last day of the trip, the UNEC staff met with the staff of the International Office of the Higher Technical Institute of Lisbon. Possible cooperation opportunities between UNEC and Lisbon Higher Technical Institute were discussed at the meeting.
