UNEC Staff met with the Soldiers on the Front Line
Professor and teaching staff and a group of students of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) visited the Front Line with the assistance of the Ministry of Defense. Firstly, the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s monument erected in Aghstafa region was honored.
Then they took part in the National Hero of the Republic of Azerbaijan martyr Rafig Alijanov’s 50th Anniversary. The visited the National Hero’s monument and his grave in Kochvelli village. The Ministry of Defense Orchestra’s performance was presented.
UNEC Rector, Dr. Adalat Muradov spoke about the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander- in Chief Ilham Aliyev’s care to army building and military servicemen in the country. He talked about healthy unity between the army and the people, the state and the military servicemen.
UNEC Head of Department, Professor, member of the Parliament Khanhuseyn Kazimli spoke about the National Hero Rafig Alijanov’s life and heroism shown in the battle against the Armenian occupants. He stressed that, the National Hero’s daughter is UNEC’s alumni and the son is a third year undergraduate.
Then the participants of the event made a trip to Aghstafa, Gazakh, Tovuz, Shamkir, Goranboy and Gedebey regions, met with the soldiers and officers of the front line presented them gifts. They talked to soldiers located 80 meters from the enemy trenches; got acquainted with their living conditions and lifestyle. They were satisfied with the soldiers’ fighting spirit and conditions created for them. Once again, they became convinced that the Azerbaijani army is eager to silence the enemy and to sit them back. Our majestic soldiers’ intentions to win are high.
Member of the Parliament Khanhuseyn Kazimi was awarded a medal of “Veteran Solidarity” during the meeting.
