UNEC Volunteers will support Disabled Students
Promotion of the Center for Disabled Student to be established at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) was made for the academic and students staffs’ members.
Information about the center’s activities direction, actions plan of its strategy and rules was delivered within the event. It was noted that the main goal of the center is to improve the disabled students’ education opportunities and to integrate them to education. The center carries out the awareness in the direction of involving persons with disabilities to higher education, removal of restrictions which prevents their education and strengthen their integration to society. Also, it is engaged in exchanging of the experiences with the centers of the same profile and raise awareness in different levels of the community.
It was also noted the volunteers will be involved to the center to support the disabled students. The volunteers will be trained on treating with disabled.
It should be noted that, the Center was established within the framework of the TEMPUS Project (ESFIDIP) on “The establishment of the fund on the interration of people with special needs to the higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
