International Scientific Conference: “Sustainable Development of Economy: problems and prospects”
The International Scientific Conference held with co-chairmanship of the State University of Sumgait (SDU) and Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) has been dedicated to the 93rd Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s birthday.
The conference entitled “Sustainable Development of Economy: problems and prospects” was hosted by SDU.
Beside the universities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, scholars from the universities of Russia, Turkey and other countries, as well as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “Azerkimya” Production Unit, member of the Parliament Mukhtar Babayev attended the conference.
The memorandum of cooperation has been signed between UNEC and SDU within the conference.
UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov has drawn the participants’ attention that the Conference was devoted to the 93rd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s birthday. He said, the independent and strong economic policy of the country has been formed with the Great Leader’s return to power. The main focus of this policy is the economic system established on the basis of different forms of ownership, transition to market economy and integration into the world economy.
Emphasizing the role of education and human capital in the development of the country, A.Muradov noted the goal of the higher education institution is to develop the educated and experienced professionals. The Rector said that successful affairs in the direction of the teacher-student mobility and double diplomas with a number of higher education institutions of the world are being carried out at UNEC. And the memorandum of cooperation signed with SDU will play an important role in training of qualified personnel for both universities. Such conferences will yield results in the training of future economists.
Rector of SDU, Professor Elkhan Huseynov noted that the National Leader Heydar Aliyev paid special attention to economic matters in all periods of his leadership in Azerbaijan and the successful policy held under his immediate supervision gives a positive result today. Today, known for its unique development model, Azerbaijan passes the new stage of its development and makes new progresses successfully.
Speaking about the benefits of mutual cooperation in the development of science and education, Rector wished the conference success.
Drawing to attention the significance of the conference the participants have noted that the problems discussed are urgent problems.
The conference will be continued in the section meetings for two days.
