The republican scientific-practical conference on the topic the “Modern Problems of Economic Science” was held in Zagatala Branch of UNEC.

At first, the participants of the conference visited the monument to the Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev in the park named after the national leader and located in the center of Zagatala region and laid flowers in front of the monument.

The pro-rector of UNEC for science and innovations, the professor Sakit Yagubov noted that, as the result of successfully pursued by the President Ilham Aliyev, the policy, the foundation of which had been laid by the Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev, our country had passed the path of successful development and achieved the significant progress in the socio-economic sphere, as well as, in all spheres. S. Yagubov pointed out that, this successful policy stimulates the development of industry and agriculture in the regions and growth of the private export-oriented productions and he underlined that dynamically developing economy also increased the demand for highly qualified personnel in this field.

The first deputy head of Executive Power of Zagatala region Tofig Isayev said that, the development of the regions was the important part of the successful socio-economic development strategy implemented successfully in the country and spoke about the state programs carried out in this direction.

The director of the Branch, the professor Orujali Rzayev delivered the speech on the subject “The impact of Zagatala Branch of the UNEC on the economic development of the north-western region of the Azerbaijan Republic”.

The professor Zahid Mammadov, the head of the UNEC Science Department, made the presentation on the topic “The transition to the research university: the application of the experience of the world-class universities at UNEC”.

The conference attended by more than hundred scientists from 14 different higher education institutions of the Republic continued its work in 4 directions in the sections.
