Baghirov Damet Abbas
He graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economics named after D.Bunyadzadeh in 1985. He entered to the post-graduate degree of the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economics named after D.Bunyadzadeh in 1986. He defended his dissertation on candidacy at the Moscow State University in 1991 and get the title of candidate on economic sciences and associate professor in 1997. Studied at the doctorate level in Saint- Petersburg State University of Finance and Economics in 1995-1998. In 1998 Defended doctorate dissertation on “Finance, money turnover and credit” 08.00.10 at St. Petersburg State University of Finance and Economics At the same year , he earned the title of doctor on economic sciences according to the Order of Supreme Attestation Committee of Russian Federation. In 2000-passing through re-attestation of State Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he get the Doctorate diploma. Earned the title of professor by Supreme Attestation Commission Under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2005.
LABOR ACTIVITY:After graduating from the Institute he worked as the senior economist at the State Agro-Industrial Committee. In 1989-1994, he had been working as the head of the training laboratory, lector at the Azerbaijan State Economics Institute. He served as the chairman of the Board of the Directors of “Tugay” commercial bank in 1994-1995 (currently “Bank of Baku”). In 1995-1999, he worked as chief state tax inspector, chief of department and deputy chief at the State Tax Inspection of Khatai district. From September 1999, he worked part-time in the chair of “Finance” of the Azerbaijan State Economics Institute. From February 2000, he worked as chief specialist, senior consultant and chief of the State Property Management and Privatization Department of heMinistry of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Since August 2001, he worked as part-time professor in the chair of “Tax and taxation” of the Azerbaijan State Economics Institute. Since February 2005, he worked as full-time professor in the chair of “Tax and taxation” and dean of the “Finance” faculty of the Azerbaijan State Economics Institute. In 2008-2009, he worked as the vice-rector in charge of academic affairs of the Azerbaijan State Economics Institute and the head of “Finance” chair. He had been working as the head of State Register Service of Real Estate in 2009-2010. Currently he works as the vice-rector in charge of teaching and training technologies at the Azerbaijan State Economics Institute.
Mr.Baghirov was awarded with the “ Honor’s Certificate of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan” by the Decree No:11/927 dated 27.09.2011 of the Minister of Education and with the medal of “Advanced education employee of the Republic of Azerbaijan” by the Decree of the Board of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
