The issue of  students’ independent works was touched upon at the discussions. It was stated that the writing of independent works should be suspended until the end of April. Assessment of students’ knowledge would be organized taking into account the existing conditions. The rules for assessing the knowledge of students who had received  “Coursera for Campus” and ACCA certificates in the relevant subjects would be sent to the personal cabinets of students as soon as possible.

Noting that failed  exams for part-time senior students will be organized remotely, tasks were also given to improve the online work of the deans’ offices in order to be ready to hold the Summer School remotely, as well as to ensure efficiency.

UNEC bachelors who has published an article or conference thesis with a single author in an indexed source on the Web of Science or Scopus wil be exempted from the Final State Attestation. Also, an article by a sole author of the UNEC Master’s dissertation on a topic relevant to the dissertation and published in indexed source on the Web of Science or Scopus with an impact of not less than 0.5  will be accepted as the defense of the master’s dissertation.

Attending the meeting, MP Etibar Aliyev praised the efficiency of UNEC in the current situation, saying that the work done serves to ensure the continuity of education: “I joined the online meeting as the coordinator of the UNEC Public Supervisiory Council. In connection with the current situation, the organization of the work of the administrative staff, which is important for the university, and issues related to future prospects were widely discussed. Obtaining licenses for 215 virtual auditoriums, conducting surveys to study the state of their technical capabilities in connecting teachers to distance education, building homeschooling, exam rules, enriching the electronic library, organizing trainings for teachers, improving the quality of distance education drew my attention. For several years now, UNEC has been systematically working on the introduction of distance education, and as the coordinator of the UNEC Public Supervisory Board, I would like to note that despite the difficulties of this work, UNEC can already set an example. I think that in the near future, distance education will contribute to the development of human capital in our country by completing and enriching traditional education. “
