UNEC was represented in the “II International Mersin Science Festival”
“II International Science Festival” was held in the city of Mersin, Republic of Turkey. 39 different institutions, universities, science, trade and industrial center, schools, local governance bodies and organization from 27 cities of Turkey, including seven international science organizations took part in the festival represented by 1500 delegates from 7 countries (Austria, Spain, Germany, Northern Cyprus, Slovakia, Azerbaijan and Turkey).
The main goal of the festival is to support the development of scientific and technological point of view in the realization of facts, establishment of a science culture in society, ensuring its spread and stability by providing mutual relations among the science, technology, society, environment and individuals.
Dean of the Faculty Finance and Accounting, Assistant Professor Geray Musayev and a teaching staff of Zagatala branch Farid Jabbarli represented UNEC within the science festival. The participants of the event were provided with the information about the education services provided in all levels of higher education and vocational education of UNEC. The education services presented by UNEC Business School, International Graduate and Doctorate Center and International School of Economics were of great interest by the attendees.
On the opening day of the ceremony, Assistant Professor Geray Musayev spoke about the reforms implemented at UNEC and stressed that the admission of international students has been simplified and facilitated on live broadcast of the official state radio “TRT radio”.
UNEC delegation met with the Rector of Mersin University, Prof. Ahmet Chamsari on that day. The cooperation prospects and the organization of joint scientific conferences between UNEC and Mersin University were discussed during the meeting.
202 projects, different thematic games, competitions, workshops, presentations, speeches, sports games and shows were demonstrated within the two-day festival.
